As the RMC-National Business Manager, you will be responsible for leading a small team of finance, administration and contract administration specialists. You and your team will be responsible for supporting development of maintenance budgets, national business process administration, central contracts and network communications.You will work closely with the Director RMC-National, a national network of business and commercial managers and other functional leads.About our Team
RMC-National is the coordination and intelligence centre of Navy's maritime maintenance network. Based at Garden Island in Sydney, we support Regional Maintenance Centres (RMCs) in Cairns, Darwin, WA and at Garden Island, by:
- Leading development of network processes and systems
- Standardising how we do business as a network
- Analysing network performance to generate insights to drive improved decision making.
- Managing relationships with key stakeholder groups including industry and other government organisations.
We are looking for a leader who wants to drive improvement. You will need to be a self-starter with an inquisitive mind. We want you to own this space, to be the one asking the questions that drive the pace of change.
Therefore you will need to have a mature outlook on life, good interpersonal skills, be able to communicate well, both in front of small groups, as well as have good written communication and presentation skills. You will also need to be a team player; we are a small team and work well together.
