Remuneration: $90,916 to $102,545 pa (HEW5) (inclusive of $76,825 to $86,652 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading)
Location: Kelvin Grove (hybrid option available)

Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a Executive Assistant / Council Support Officer to join Governance and Performance, Administrative Division.
The Council Support Officer/Executive Assistance provides executive support to the Director, G&P and supports the work of the Director in relation to aspects of Council business. The position works collaboratively with key stakeholders and other staff to deliver exceptional service and support.We’re offering this role as a hybrid position as part of QUT’s commitment to embracing the opportunities created by a more virtual and connected world.

Governance and Performance (G&P) is responsible for a range of administrative functions and provides committee services to Council and university-level committees in support of decision-making. G&P provides support to other governance and compliance activities, including right to information and privacy, records management, and the development and review of university policies. The Department administers the University’s integrated planning process and enterprise risk management, reports on corporate performance (key performance indicators), and manages institutional rankings. G&P provides guidance on quality activities as they relate to the national regulator (the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency), including managing compliance with mandated higher education standards..
What you need to succeed
Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to completion of an associate diploma with at least two (2) years subsequent relevant work experience.
Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to provide confidential executive support, and proven ability to collaborate and communicate with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders at all levels in a professional manner.
Demonstrated digital literacy skills including ability to effectively work with Microsoft suite of products, as well as corporate systems and other information sources to extract and interpret data.
Demonstrated ability to use initiative to solve problems, critically evaluate current systems and contribute to ongoing improvements in the provision of client-focused service to support a wide range of stakeholders
Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to draft memoranda, meeting agendas and minutes, correspondence, submissions and sensitive documents with a high degree of accuracy within a confidential environment.
High-level ability to work independently and as part of a team, to respond quickly and effectively to new demands and unexpected challenges at short notice, and to work under pressure with minimal supervision to meet deadlines and goals.
