Role summary:
We are currently seeking a dynamic Finance Manager to be responsible for providing financial leadership across an automotive business. The role will be a management position overseeing and leading a team of two, playing a key role in strategic planning whilst also remaining 'hands on' and in the detail.
You will develop and ensure robust financial controls and governance, manage financial reporting and cash flow, and drive efficiencies across the business. This position will play a key role in evolving the finance function from a transactional partner to business partner. This role requires not only a strong communicator and business partner but someone ready to roll up their sleeves-a high-energy committed individual looking to 'make their mark' on a growing business.
Role Responsibilities:
The Finance and Corporate Services function is an integral part of the group. The company spans across 4 sites based in the Southeastern suburbs of Melbourne and this position will support these multiple entities.
As the Finance Manager you will run:
- Day-to-day accounting and finance operations.
- Provide financial leadership and analytical support reporting back to the CFO and Senior Leadership Team.
- Establish and oversee a robust financial function business and work with leadership to develop and execute long term financial plans.
- Compile management and financial accounts, board packs and provide analysis on variances, risks, and opportunities.
- Controlling income, cash flow and expenditure.
- Managing Inventory and cost accounting.
- Provide input into financial decisions regarding capital allocation and oversight.
- Managing bank relationships, overseeing banking processes and preparing bank reporting
- Managing Audit compliance and Tax compliance - BAS, FBT, Income Tax.
- Overseeing Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
- Overseeing payroll compliance.
- Develop and manage the Finance team - assess current roles and plan for a future state.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- CPA / CA Qualification.
- Minimum 3+ years' experience as a senior finance professional
- Inventory management and Product management experience is essential
- Demonstrated high level of technical expertise in financial accounting requirements and practices, including a high level of analytical skills.
- Ability to create insightful analysis of financial information and then interpret and present them to senior management and stakeholders.
- Experience in a Retail, Distribution and/or FMCG business (preferred).
- Strong communication skills with a history of business partnering.
- Dynamic and results driven with strong business acumen.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and to tight deadlines.
- A hands-on, collaborative, and engaging attitude.
- Strong computer and ERP literacy.
