The Role
Epworth Medical Imaging (EMI) invites applications for the role of Front Office Coordinator to lead the day-to-day operations of our administration services across Freemasons (Clarendon Street & Victoria Parade).
Reporting to the Site Operational Manager, the Front Office Coordinator is accountable for providing excellence in patient care, managing and coordinating the administration team as well as liaising with key internal and external stakeholders, in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities of the role include:
- This position is primarily responsible for the smooth and efficient running of the day to day operation of the Radiology Reception in EMI Freemasons (Clarendon Street & Victoria Parade).
- Managing and coordinating the Front Office team to provide high quality and responsive frontline services for our patients, referrers and other hospital staff and being the first point of contact for these stakeholders.
- Liaising with internal key stakeholders, optimise and standardise workflows for appointments, patient arrival and checkout processes that result in the achievement of agreed KPIs and promotes business growth through high patient and referrer satisfaction. This includes developing and maintaining standard operating manuals.
- Undertake staff training and mentoring to continuously develop the team and foster a supportive and caring working environment and culture that makes EMI a great place to work.
Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will have:
- Team Leader/management experience in a healthcare environment with previous experience in Medicare and Health Fund rules and billing interpretations.
- Previous administration experience in a Radiology practice, with a very good understanding of Radiology Information system (RIS) applications would be desirable.
- Well-developed leadership and people management skills with proven capability to develop and mentor a highly effective, collaborative, motivated and engaged team committed to providing exceptional customer service.
- Previous experience in developing a team that builds rapport with patients and referrers through exceptional customer service.
- Ability to identify, evaluate and implement process improvements.

EMI employ approximately 250 highly skilled Radiologists and staff, providing Angiography, Intervention, Bone Mineral Densitometry (BMD), Computed Tomography, Dental X-Ray (OPG), General X-Ray, MRI, 3D and Contrast Mammography, Nuclear Medicine and PET and Ultrasound.
