Smoke Alarm Solutions is the leading provider of residential smoke alarm compliance and maintenance services to the Australian real estate industry. We are Australian owned and operated since 2007, with local technicians and electricians located throughout Queensland and South Australia.
You will work closely with internal customers, including our contact centre, development team and remote staff, ensuring they have a great customer experience.
You will ensure that systems are well maintained, secure, functioning correctly, and continuously available. This includes responding to incidents and service requests, as well as managing problems, and undertaking proactive and preventative maintenance.
You will also participate in projects to commission, decommission, maintain, and upgrade ICT systems.
You will work with a small, experienced team. You must be able to cover a wide range of tasks. Your characteristics include taking ownership and being proactive and persistent when it comes to problem solving. You are open to technological innovations and have a "can do" mentality. You enjoy finding the best solution for customers and will always try to creatively work around issues with whatever you have available.
Skills and Experience
You don’t need to know everything about every technology, but the more items you can tick on the list below, the better.
- Provide technical assistance and support to end-users, addressing their IT-related issues, inquiries, and requests.
- Implementing assurance processes to monitor and maintain operations
- Windows server and desktop administration
- Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online and SharePoint Online
- Manage IT Ticket Requests; Receive, triage, allocate and escalate
- Handle all IT onboarding and offboarding of employees, including preparation of hardware, software and accounts required.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, including desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
- Implement and enforce IT security policies, including antivirus software, firewalls, and data encryption.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of IT projects, such as system upgrades or migrations.
- Respond promptly to critical IT incidents and outages to minimize downtime.
