This is a great opportunity for an experienced Learning & Development Coordinator to join Glenhaven’s team, based at our Head Office in Ulverstone, on a fulltime basis.
The Learning and Development Coordinator is responsible for coordination, administration, and delivery of a range of learning and development activities and projects as directed by the People and Culture Manager, as well as ensuring the development and maintenance of robust learning and development systems and processes. The Learning and Development Coordinator will be the point of contact for learning and development queries.
Applicants with experience in the Community Sector, and a good knowledge and understanding of providing therapeutic trauma informed care to children and young people and an understanding of developmental trauma, will be well regarded.
This is a fulltime, permanent position.
Some intrastate travel will be required.

Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of the annual Learning and Development Plan.
- Plan the training needs of the organisation in conjunction with the People and Culture Manager and the broader Management team.
- Deliver sessional training relevant to organisational needs.
- Support the implementation of the Learning and Development Program.
- Assist with the development, facilitation/delivery and administration of training programs, corresponding records, and material.
- Review and liaise with external training providers as required.
- Manage staff training files and records.
- Assist in the coordination of employee leadership and Traineeship Programs.
- Maintain awareness of State and Federal funding opportunities for learning and development programs.
- Manage statutory training requirements through regular reporting and scheduling of training to meet legislative requirements.
- Research and advise on learning and development opportunities as required.
- Maintain a current working knowledge of relevant industry developments, legislation, and practices.
- Assist with the development of continuous improvement procedures and operational management standards to enhance the effective and efficient management of all Learning and Development processes.
- Ensure compliance with relevant federal, state, local and statutory regulations including the requirements of the Code of Conduct, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) principles and the Work Health and Safety (WHS) Act.
- Ensure all learning and development programs are sourced, developed, and implemented in line with Glenhaven Family Care’s vision and values.
Selection Criteria
Essential:
- Hold a current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) and/or equivalent experience.
- Possess relevant sessional training experience.
- Possess high level of customer service, written and oral communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to communicate with a diverse range of people.
- The ability to communicate clearly and concisely, varying communication style depending on the audience.
- Demonstrated experience in the coordination, facilitation and delivery of effective learning and development or other similar programs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Hold a valid and current Australian licence to drive a motor vehicle.
- Hold a current (less than 12 months old) Nationally Coordination Criminal History check or ability to acquire.
- Possess a NDIS endorsed Working with Vulnerable People card or ability to acquire.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of the SCHADS Award, or ability to acquire such knowledge in a short time frame.
- Knowledge of the community services or disability services sector.
- Knowledge/experience related to providing therapeutic trauma informed care to children and young people and an understanding of developmental trauma.
- Highly developed computer system application skills.
