- Implement L&D solutions that respond to the strategic needs of the firm.
- Engage with practice groups/individuals to assess capability, performance and learning requirements and provide recommendations and strategies that will enhance capabilities.
- Manage the delivery of the firm's training program in line with identified business needs and compliance obligations, including facilitating, and liaising with internal and external training providers.
- Proactively network and cultivate connections within the expansive legal community to discern compelling topics and identify speakers of interest. This involves actively engaging with legal associations, participating in online forums, establishing relationships with professionals from other law firms and barristers chambers, and staying up to date with legal conferences and publications.
- Manage specific L&D projects to support organisational development goals.
- Ensure L&D programs consider a range of delivery options including face-to-face, webinar, online learning, and workplace projects.
- Manage the delivery of the firm's mentoring program and provide coaching and mentoring support as required.
- Conduct induction and orientation programs, including production of training materials.
- In collaboration with IT, develop and deliver IT/technical updates as required.
- Manage all employee training data and ensure professional staff compliance with QLS CPD obligations.
- Ensure L&D manuals/guides are current.
- Effectively promote the firm's L&D programs/projects to ensure ongoing engagement.
- Maintain an understanding of L&D best practice to drive continuous improvement across the firm.
- Assist with firm-wide initiatives as part of the Business Services Unit
- Ensure compliance with relevant firm policies, procedures and business systems.
- Tertiary qualifications in HR/Business/Law or equivalent with a solid background in Learning & Development
- Ideally 5+ years' experience in a similar environment (preferably professional services)
- Solid influencing and negotiation skills
