About the role:
Reporting to Operations Support Services Manager the purpose of this role is to coordinate and deliver training and L&D initiatives across the CPB Business Unit Victoria and Tasmania. Your primary focus is to ensure the provision of effective and accurate training services, information and systems to our projects.
As the Learning & Development Manager, you will be accountable for:
- Assisting new and existing sites to establish a competency-based training and assessment system that complies with all aspects of the relevant legislation for that project
- Develop and maintain the BU Training Needs Analysis
- Assist in the development, implementation and continuous improvement of training systems
- Review and update BU Training Schemes
- Develop and maintain policies, systems and processes on CMS
- Provide input on training related issues, into tender bids for new projects
- Provide systems training and assistance to sites during project start up
- Audit competency-based training and assessment system on allocated projects to ensure all operator training and assessment materials and processes meet the requirements of all relevant National Training Packages
- Conduct Internal Audits on Training Scheme to ensure site compliance
- Drive VoC and National Training Standards processes
- Develop the capabilities of Training Coordinators/Administrators
- Support the implementation of any new safety initiatives where training support is required
- Provide end of month reporting statistics
- Manage course budgets, costing and participation statistics
- Facilitate Company Inductions inline with onboarding procedures
- Maintain BU Mentoring Program
- Maintain relationships with External Stakeholders in Workforce Development
- Continue University Engagement/School's and engage in STEM talks to promote pathway opportunities
Our requirements for this role are:
- Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment or equivalent
- Tertiary qualifications in Education, HR or related discipline
- Proven experience in training administration, delivery and/or development
- Understanding of Local Job's First initiatives, and provide assistance to projects to meet these client requirements
- Understanding of RIW - competencies and compliance
- Demonstrated experience, licences, tickets, endorsements and qualifications required to deliver and assess training in specific technical areas
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive working relationships at all levels
- Proven ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities
