Casual Medical Receptionist vacancy for busy General Practice (Cairns 24 Hr M/Centre)
Previous Healthcare industry experience preferable, hospitality Reception/Administration skills suit alsoCasual rotational roster - during clinic hours Monday to Sunday.
Approx. 4 to 5 shifts / 25 - 35 hrs per week.
Flexibility is required with shifts covering mornings and evenings and rotational weekends.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Answering incoming calls, busy switchboard and professional emails
- Appointment bookings and managing multiple diaries on a software system
- Meeting and friendly greeting of patients
- General cleaning and upkeep of practice areas, following strict infection control requirements, stock take and restocking of supplies
- Willingness to learn, be directed and follow procedures
- COVID 19 screening of entering patients, in compliance with current guidelines
- Dealing with patient enquiries, delays and rescheduling, over the phone and in person, including challenging situations
- Filing, scanning, copying
- Providing support / assistance to our healthcare professionals
- Exceptional customer service skills, with a polite manner, and empathic nature
- Enjoy a fast paced environment
- Ability to remain calm under pressure, with a positive and enthusiastic disposition
- Demonstrate outstanding organisational / time management skills, with the ability to multi-task
- A commitment to on-the-job training and ongoing learning and development
- Take pride in their written and verbal communication skills, paying attention to detail
- Willing to take direction and work collaboratively as part of a Team
- Intermediate computer knowledge/skills
- The ability to show empathy towards others and a general desire to assist patients, co-workers and professionals
- Current driver licence for errands (automatic work car)
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency essential
