National Account Manager

An exciting opportunity exists for a professional, pro-active individual with strong account management experience to take on this key role in the delivery of our Growth Strategy. 

Reporting to the General Manager – Sales ANZ, the National Account Manager will service the Bunnings account. Key responsibilities include preparing and executing strong strategic partnership plans, conducting business reviews, pursuing new product ranging opportunities, initiating promotional activity, forecasting, developing customer training plans, managing key customer events, and developing trusted relationships with key stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience successfully managing National Accounts, preferably across hardware, automotive or industrial channels
• A proven track record of achieving growth, and effectively managing key customer metrics
• Strong negotiation skills, including trading terms
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Strong organisation skills
• The ability to forge mutually beneficial relationships with customers and colleagues

Experience selling tools (Hand Tools, Power Tools and/or Power Tool Accessories) would be preferred but is not essential.
