Ndis Support Coordinator

Plan Navigators is looking for someone to join our NDIS Support Coordinator team. 

This is a Part-Time (Fixed Term) role, 4 days per week for 12 months.

You will be working from home, and we will supply your IT Equipment.

Objectives

• To make self-direction easier, so people can manage their own NDIS funding with confidence and creativity.
• To assist people with disability to attract and retain the best possible staff to help them achieve what they want to achieve in life.

About the Job:

We're looking for a highly organized and self-motivated professional with strong interpersonal skills to become our NDIS Support Coordinator. In this role, you will need:

• Natural curiosity about people and their stories to better support them and connect them with desired services.
• Diverse experience to collaborate effectively with people from various backgrounds, disabilities, and mental illnesses, identifying the best support approaches.
• Proactive engagement with people regarding our services, their NDIS plans, and funded supports.
• The ability to handle administrative aspects by following guidelines and processes to implement operational requirements and capture information in client management systems.

We want someone who:

• Cares about social justice, and including everyone.
• Has worked in Disability or Mental Health for at least 2 years.
• Can work independently but also likes working within a small team.
• Sets personal and professional boundaries.
• Is good at planning, coordinating, and scheduling.
• Talks confidently to different people.
• Can research, write reports, set goals, and plan support and safeguarding.
• Understands the NDIS and wants to help people get the support they need.
• Is ready to learn new things.
• Understands emotions and is approachable.
• Can be serious but also have fun with the team.
• Knows their way around technology.
