Join a Council on Melbourne's City Fringe as an OHS Support Officer on a 3-month temporary contract, where you'll play a crucial role in supporting our Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Assisting in the development, implementation, and maintenance of OHS policies and procedures. Conducting regular safety inspections and risk assessments, identifying hazards and recommending solutions.
Collaborating with various departments to ensure OHS compliance and providing guidance on safe work practices. Assisting with incident investigations and preparing reports. Conducting safety training and awareness programs for employees.
Keeping up-to-date with relevant OHS legislation and regulations. Assisting in the development of emergency response and evacuation plans. Supporting OHS initiatives and projects as directed.
Key Requirements: A relevant qualification in OHS or a related field. Demonstrated knowledge of OHS legislation, regulations, and best practices. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
