Since 2001 our privately owned wealth management business has provided quality, holistic service and advice to professional, executive and high net worth clients. Over this time we have achieved significant growth and we are now seeking an experienced industry professional to join our team as a Practice Manager. The successful candidate will work closely with the Partners and Office Manager to help drive the next phase of growth for our business and ensure that we continue to deliver market leading service and advice.
Our ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, strategic thinker who is seeking an exciting challenge in a leading, boutique wealth management business. In addition, you will need to be a highly effective communicator who is a proven team player.
Ideally the successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years financial services experience and also have significant experience in the following areas :
- Practice/General Management
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Compliance/AFSL Management
Some of the key duties and responsibilities of this role are:
Operations
- Management of overall VPW operations with a focus on maintaining high levels of advice quality, service delivery and productivity
- Ensure adherence to SLA’s and benchmarks
- Management, review and refinement of operational processes
- Analysis of business data & management reports and provision of insights and recommendations
People & Culture
- Development of key HR policies & procedures
- Onboarding of new staff members
- Input into employment reviews and performance management
- Assistance with mentoring, training and development of staff
- Contribution to high performance culture
Compliance & Legal
- AFSL compliance including maintenance of compliance registers
- Management of ASIC communications & analysis of legislative changes
- Internal audits & documentation reviews
- Ensure adherence to key compliance obligations such as Ongoing Fee Consent, File Notes & Advice Documents
I.T./Software
- Optimise business software/CRMs such as Xplan
- Adoption of appropriate technology and software solutions
- Review and refinement of Cyber & Data security systems and processes
Corporate Strategy
- Contribute to the strategic direction of the business by proactively engaging with Partners and providing recommendations and business cases for initiatives.
- Management of important business projects
- Ensure business strategy is effectively communicated across business and staff engaged with corporate direction
