A DAY IN THE LIFE
The Project Manager is responsible for managing ECT2’s team in delivering our innovative and state of the art water treatment technologies to our customers. This includes management of issues, risks and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery. Our projects range from standard equipment supply to complex design, fabrication, installation and operations contracts.
As a key member of our team, this role will be responsible for a range of activities including:
- Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
- Managing projects from the concept design phase through the delivery and execution stage to completion, commissioning, and handover.
- Developing and managing all aspects of the project lifecycle from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change and risk.
- Analysing customer requirements and communicating these needs across ECT2, including connecting with teams geographically dispersed in Australia and in the United States.
- Managing contract obligations and responsibilities to ensure client expectations and requirements are met and ECT2 interests, entitlements and rights are protected.
- Developing and monitoring project schedules to ensure appropriate charging of manhours, costs and expenses to projects.
- Monitoring and managing subconsultant and subcontractor progress and performance.
- Developing and delivering progress reports, documentation and presentations.
- Scheduling, facilitating and minuting regular client and internal meetings to ensure required actions are recorded and tracked through to completion.
- Striving for the highest level of safety in the design and implementation of our projects, including the promotion of risk-based thinking.
- Managing QA/QC procedures across all activities in accordance with ECT2’s Integrated Management System (IMS) and other client and project specific requirements to ensure we supply a best in class end product to our clients.
YOUR EXPERTISE AND SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant engineering field.
- Project / Construction Management qualifications will be highly regarded.
- 5+ years of related work experience; ideally with 2+ years direct work experience in a related capacity within the water treatment industry.
- Highly developed oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Advanced computer skills and proficient in the use of the MS Office suite.
- Possess a valid driver's licence and have a reliable form of transportation.
- Willing to have a flexible work schedule and adjust to accommodate AU and US time zones on an as needed basis for connection to geographically dispersed resources.
- Travel as needed within AU, to support the Australian team to grow the business and deliver ECT2 solutions to its’ customers.
