About the opportunity
The University of Sydney are looking for a Project Officer to assist the Senior Project Manager with relocations and decanting. This role will be responsible for assisting with the preparation and management of the project plan and assist with the management of contractors/suppliers as well as other internal and external stakeholders.
This is a great opportunity for a Project Officer to build experience with project management with a focus on relocation and decanting. This role may require evening and weekend work to meet project deadlines.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- coordinate and assist the Project Manager and Senior Project Manager on relocation project delivery
- assist, prepare and manage the Relocation Project Plan
- conduct equipment and Furniture audits
- assist in the procurement of removal contractors and other specialist services
- supervision of removal contractors during all site activities
- build and maintain working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication
About you
- flexible, able to work some evenings and weekends as project demands
- has a broad understanding about Project Management
- has good communication and negotiation skills
- prior experience with SharePoint will be preferable but not mandatory
- must be willing to travel to different University of Sydney sites across NSW
