Arlec Australia is a well-respected Australian company, importing and distributing decorative and lighting products throughout Australia and overseas. We now have an exciting opportunity for a Purchasing Officer to join our Purchasing and Supply Chain/Logistics team.
About the Role
The Purchasing Officer will be responsible for:
- Ensuring customer Free On Board (FOB) Orders are processed and delivered on time.
- Ensuring purchase orders are placed in a timely manner, based on product sales forecast and promotional activities.
- Liaison with our China office & freight forwarders on shipment dates and details.
- Checking the accuracy and compliance of shipping legal documents.
- Managing incoming freight, customs clearances and associated paperwork.
- Ensuring inventory levels in warehouses are sufficiently met and timely co-ordination of stock ordering/transfers.
- Conducting forecast review meetings as required.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure customer expectations are met.
About You
This role will suit a diligent, analytical person who thrives in a team environment.
You will have
- Tertiary Qualification, i.e. Logistics & Supply Chain/Business/Finance - Graduates encouraged to apply!
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Fluency in Mandarin a definite advantage
- ERP experience a definite advantage (i.e. Pronto, SAP, Oracle)
