Moorditj Koort Aboriginal Corporation (MKAC) is an Aboriginal community controlled, not-for-profit organisation supporting the health and wellness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples living in Western Australia.

Position summary:
This role acts as the primary point of contact for visitors and clients offering internal support to create a productive and professional office environment.
The receptionist it plays a crucial role ensuring the smooth delivery of services within Moorditj Koort by actively engaging and providing customer service to local Aboriginal community and stakeholders.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Welcoming guests as they arrive and directing them to the appropriate person or program.
- Handling incoming calls, taking messages, and transferring calls to the relevant program or individuals.
- Managing appointments, scheduling and confirming appointments for clients
- Handling inquiries, Providing information to visitors or callers about MKAC programs.
- Receiving and distributing mail, sorting incoming mail and packages and ensuring they reach the intended recipients.
- Assisting with administrative tasks, supporting other staff members with tasks such as data entry, filing, or preparing documents.
- Maintain office equipment such as stationary order.
- Facilitates and collect updated contact lists of stakeholder service providers.
- Maintains safe and clean office area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Minutes taking for meetings (site/staff meeting)
The successful candidate must have the following essential certifications.
- Relevant qualifications such as Business Administration
- WA Valid Driver’s license
- Police Clearance no more than 3 months old (Mandatory)
- Previous experience in a reception or Administration
- First Aid or willing to obtain.
- COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate
Skills, Abilities and Knowledge
- A high level of verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to show initiative and work autonomously.
- Proficiency with literacy of information and communication technology including desktop computers, word processing, spreadsheet and database software packages.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills with a strong team orientation and customer focus.
- Demonstrated planning and organisational skills, especially in relation to setting priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to follow instructions, respond to management direction, and must be able to improve performance through management feedback,
