The Lamason Seafood Company consists of Cairns Little Seafood Market and Little Tuna are seeking a highly motivated and organised team member to join their company from Monday to Friday.
About Us:
Cairns Little Seafood Market a hub for local seafood processing and exporting globally with a modern fresh seafood retail store offering fresh local seafood wholesale and to the public.
Cairns-based Little Tuna catch their tuna locally from waters internationally renowned as some of the most prolific fishing grounds in the world and are the company to exclusively sell Australian-caught preserved tuna. We’ve grown from a start-up to become the largest Australian caught owned and made tuna manufacturer in Australia.
Both companies are known for their innovative ways to operate and seeking a highly motivated new team member to assist with administration and growth.
About the Role:
Working with the Office / Export Manager, this position is open to anyone after full time work. The right applicant will have attention to detail with excellent communication and people skills. Must also be well presented, and have some experience in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. A certificate IV in Business Administration or willingness to work towards one or a similar qualification would be viewed favourably but not essential. You will play a key role in supporting various financial and administrative functions within the company.
Selection Criteria:
Preferred qualities/experience to ensure success in the role include:
- Ordering & receipting stock, invoicing, and billing.
- Assist with basic bookkeeping procedures. Xero experience is favoured.
- Good written and verbal communication, negotiation, people and networking skills to successfully liaise with clients and stakeholders.
- Competent working skills in Microsoft office, including word, excel and outlook.
- High Attention to detail, confident skills for problem solving, time and organisational management and the ability to develop practical solutions.
- Provide assistance and support of any requirements of the Business Owner’s across a range of activities.
- Draft and prepare routine letters or reports as needed.
- Packing and processing orders.
- Undertake various office duties as needed.
- Current Drivers’ License.
- Occasionally assist with retail.
