About the Role
RTI’s Business Development Managers drive the growth of our innovative mining technology solutions. We are looking for a dynamic and proactive professional to expand our market presence, forge strong industry relationships, and deliver sustainable revenue growth. We ask our team members to combine their understanding of value based, consultative, selling with the curiosity to understand our industry partners and their challenges. We need BDM’s that understand how to apply their expertise to provide innovative solutions to help our clients achieve their business objectives with confidence.
There is flexibility with this role to be based either at our Brisbane office or locations across our the East Coast region between Mackay and Newcastle
Deliverables:
· Develop and execute strategic plans to drive sales growth within your portfolio or region.
· Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging your understanding of the mining sector.
· Build and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers, mining executives, and stakeholders, becoming their trusted advisor.
· Collaborate with our product development and marketing teams to align our solutions with customer needs and industry trends.
· Provide exceptional customer experience.
· Facilitate solution presentations to inform customers about the value of RTI’s technology solutions.
· Stay current with industry developments, emerging technologies, and competitive landscapes to provide insights and recommendations to stakeholders and partners.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve targets and exceed commercial objectives.
· Participate in trade and industry events.
Requirements:
· An understanding and exposure to Business Development, account management or general sales.
· A mindset to develop your passion for technology – we don’t need experts but a passion and desire to learn and develop your talent is important.
· Highly developed communication skills - strong collaboration skills, the ability to use various technology platforms (Microsoft, HubSpot etc), and work with people across the mining value chain.
· Exposure to mining and related industries will be well-regarded.
· A strong curiosity and ability to identify customer challenges and the desire to solve problems.
· Respect, resilience, and a positive attitude.
· A competitive nature to see our industry use technology to transform.
· Tertiary education is a plus but not essential.
· Ability to travel extensively within your portfolio or region and globally as needed.
· A current vehicle operator’s licence.
· The ability to pass a pre-employment medical (including a drug and alcohol screen).
