About you
We are looking for an experienced, outgoing sales professional with specialised experience in the hotel industry. You’ll be a great networker and be able to build and grow relationships. Your experience in hunting for new business will compliment your ability to grow revenue from within accounts.
About the role
This exciting position is part-time, three days per week reporting into the Group Director of Sales. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Development of new business opportunities across multiple market segments, including Entertainment, Leisure, Corporate, Meetings and Groups.
- Sourcing and management of new sales opportunities and local partnerships.
- Canvassing of local business precincts to build pipeline of new opportunities.
- Account Management of an existing client base with focus on growing revenue from these accounts.
- Hotel site inspections, presentations and regular sales calls and meetings with all accounts.
- Attendance at trade shows and industry events, representing the hotel.
- Preparation of sales reports as requested by the Group Director of Sales including business won, lost and pending.
- Clear and detailed files on all clients, with update of all activity in the hotel CRM.
- Work closely with local and national EVT sales teams and collaborate on opportunities.
- Understand the Erdi sales vision, its product services and rate structure.
- Complete understanding of competitors' strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT).
- Flexibility to travel locally and at times interstate, or as directed by the Group Director of Sales.
