Due to ongoing growth, we are now seeking a Business Development Manager to nurture existing relationships with our vets as well as drive new business.
About the Role
Reporting to the National Relationship Manager, this full-time permanent position, will form an integral part of the customer relationship team. You will be instrumental in driving client satisfaction and growth of new and existing accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a high level of customer service delivery with Veterinary Owners and Practice Managers to develop and promote the business as required.
- Identifying and securing new Veterinarian clinics and clients
- Managing and retaining quality, long-term relationships with existing customers and driving new and existing business growth.
- Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of business products, services and value proposition.
- Actively work with the National Relationship Manager and Marketing to develop Business Development initiatives, and support activities; and provide market intelligence and strategic input into positioning in the market.
- Identifying evolving customer needs and being aware of new, emerging services and competition in our industry.
- Regular updating and training of vet staff in our services.
- Attending relevant industry conferences and expos aligned to the company’s strategic planning.
- Timely reporting and administrative tasks as required.
About You!
The successful candidate will demonstrate high levels of flexibility and agility to keep pace with the changing needs and landscape of the organisation as it continues to grow. A client centric approach and excellent stakeholder engagement skills are essential for the role.
At a technical level we are looking for someone with:
- 3+ years relevant experience in a lead relationship sales role
- Demonstrated experience in achieving targets and managing a geographically large sales region.
- Experience with CRM databases and Microsoft suite
- Previous experience across the vet industries would be viewed favourably
- Full Drivers Licence
- Excellent time management and the ability to thrive under pressure
