We're looking for an experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our team
THE ROLE
As the BDM, you’ll develop and implement strategies to ensure revenue and sales goals are achieved, sales strategies are set, tactical plans are created and implemented, and results are monitored and achieved - always striving for improvement and success!
The positional expectations:
- Amplify and accelerate the hotel's growth via introducing new clientele to the property and its venues proactively
- Business development of new accounts from all market segments - ensuring qualification occurs before the introduction
- Managing Corporate Accommodation Accounts, locally and nationally
- Proactively selling other our hotel products and services
- Actively sourcing and developing new accounts
- Coordinating and conducting interstate sales trips
- Managing international market activities
- Driven to achieve Sales Targets
- Completing accommodation RFPS and proposals
- Coordinating market-specific tradeshows, sales presentations and other events to facilitate client needs
- Product Updates
- Provide sales reporting to the GM
- Feeling confident to make recommendations to bolster the property, its venues and overall product to amplify sales
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous Sales experience (preferably within hotels)
- Extensive Hospitality Knowledge
- Previous experience and confidence with cold calling
- Proven experience in prospecting and winning new business
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite and OPERA
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent networking skills
- High presentation standards
- A real passion for sales and achieving targets
