Business Development Representative
Area9 IT Solutions provides technology solutions and services to customers across Australia. We are an award-winning IT provider with over 15 years history providing IT support services to over 500 clients and have two Datacentres that provide a range of Cloud Services to clients using technologies from industry leading vendors such as Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks, HP, Pure Storage and VMware.
We have a new position available for a Business Development Representative who will focus on developing new business in Queensland.
To be successful in this role you will be located in Queensland, Australia, have a current Drivers Licence and own vehicle and/or the ability to travel to customer sites as required.

In this role you will:
- Generate new and existing business opportunities.
- Participate in developing marketing strategies.
- Prepare customer proposals and RFQ response support.
- Manage client accounts and understand their IT needs and objectives.
- Work closely with external and internal stakeholders.
- Represent Area9 products and services and arrange business meetings with prospective clients.
- Have good understanding of our services and solutions, computer software packages, hardware and computer operating systems promoted by Area9.
- Achieve sales accreditations for key Vendor technologies as required.
- Support effective processes to manage customer information, tender responses, sales negotiation, prioritisation and communications.
Your Skills & Experience
- >5 years’ experience in IT solutions opportunity management, account management, Business Development and/or sales operations.
- Strong understanding of IT managed services and solutions.
- Previous experience and understanding of tendering processes and strategies.
- Excellent proposal writing and documentation skills.
