About our newly created position.
The Sebel Yarrawonga is not just a hotel; it’s an experience. In this newly created Conference & Events Business Development Manager position you will be responsible for forging and cultivating relationships with key stakeholders to position the hotel as the premier choice for events and conferences.
Some responsibilities will include:
- Develop and implement innovative sales strategies to drive event bookings, lead generations and brand exposure.
- Develop and manage budgets for events and partnerships, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their unique needs, curating bespoke event solutions that exceed expectations.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, conducting market research to identify new business opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
- Work closely with our broader marketing team to seamlessly execute flawless events and conferences.
- Liaise with external partners, vendors, suppliers, and event organisers to facilitate smooth communication and collaboration.

- Qualification in Marketing, Event Management, Communications, or relevant field.
- Proven experience in sales and relationship-building expertise.
- Demonstrated skills in planning and organising conferences and events.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Sound time management and ability to manage conflicting demands.
- Consistent ability to work well under pressure, responding effectively to changing priorities.
- Excellent budgetary control experience including monitoring expenditure and preparing post-event expenditure.
- Self-motivated, passionate, proactive and positive can do attitude.
