Core Tasks
- Line management of Senior Support Workers, and Support Workers (permanent and casual)
- Responsible for the supervision and coaching of support staff.
- Provide regular support via telephone and face to face visits to individuals, carers and families, ensuring all intervention is recorded.
- Build capacity of individuals coaching them through steps and strategies to achieve their set goals.
- Coach and support carers in preparing individuals for independent or semi-independent living and parenthood
About the role
As a Disability Coordinator, you will support the Disability team in the management and delivery of the Key Assets Disability Service.
To be successful you will be client-focused, highly organised and have excellent administrative skills.
The successful candidate will
- Have experience in working within a NDIS context including, goal-orientated outcomes, and reporting requirements,
- Have experience in supervising direct care workers staff
- Be highly energised and have a passion for delivering a high standard of service
- Be highly committed, resourceful, possess excellent organisational, admin and communication skills
- Hold a current NDIS worker Screening, Working with Children Card and be willing to undergo statutory checks
- Have a qualification in Disability or similar sector (e.g Aged Care or Community)
