Brunner & Lay is a globally recognised producer of rock-drilling consumables for the construction, mining and demolition industries. The Australian operations were established in 1988 and supply and service projects across the country and APAC region. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance & Office Manager to join the Ballarat team to coordinate the financial and back office functions as the organisation focuses on an ambitious growth strategy.
Major responsbilities include:-
- Develop, implement and monitor financial policies to ensure compliance
- Accounts payable, receivable, debtors, bank and credit card reconciliations
- Preparation of payroll, BAS statements, End of Month and monthly reporting
- Budget preparation
- Office management, resourcing and general co-ordination of business activities
- Executive support to the Managing Director
Reporting to the Managing Director, the successful candidate has previous demonstrated experience in accounting and financial management, budget development and management and competency in financial software packages and the Microsoft Suite of products. Excellent time management, attention to detail and problem-solving skills are essential, as are excellent communication skills and a commitment to innovation, growth and best practice. Tertiary qualifications in Accounting are preferred.
