Position Description
The Finance Manager will be responsible for all Finance & Accounting areas of the business including budgeting, forecasting, month-end across all countries, reporting, invoicing, tax preparation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, loss prevention, leasing and more. This role will not, however, be responsible for FP&A.
Reporting to the CFO and managing a team of 5 direct reports, the successful candidate will be analytically-minded and leverage strong financial acumen to guide the business towards accurate commercial and operational results.
Duties and Key Responsibilities:
- Full Financial Accounting & Reporting including internal controls and reconciliation procedures & end of month actual results reporting across three countries – AUS, USA, UK
- All tax compliance and reporting aspects including income tax, FBT, GST/VAT, BAS and Payroll tax
- Management of purchases and payments process for the organisation
- Management of the banking systems and processes for the organisation
- Management of core accounting system (NetSuite)
- Reporting to management and stakeholders; providing advice and developing long-term business plans based on results to guide the impact of future business decisions
- Develop and lead the finance team to ensure succession planning
- 7+ years of experience within finance & accounting, preferably within a retail, wholesale or FMCG business
- Recognised accounting qualification – CA/CPA/CIMA
- Analytically minded and accuracy driven
- Calm under pressure and able to work within tight deadlines
- Strong leadership skills with demonstrated experience as a manager
- Proficient in NetSuite or similar ERP
