About The Opportunity…
Reporting to the Managing Director this position will be required to build partnerships across the organisation and develop and provide Human Resources, Employee Relations and Industrial Relations advice, coaching and guidance You will partner with key business units to achieve optimal workforce engagement and productivity outcomes.
Your other duties will be including but not limited to:
- Manage the employee lifecycle process including recruitment, onboarding and offboarding
- Assist in the delivery of performance management, learning & development and promotion processes across the company
- Support in the development, implementation and maintenance of effective HR strategies and initiatives
- Be the first point of contact for all HR queries, escalating matters to Operations Manager as needed
- Drive continuous improvement in HR programs, proactively making recommendations for improvements
- Enabling leaders to fulfil their responsibilities through dedicated coaching and guidance
- Providing subject-matter expertise to leaders in EA negotiation processes
- Other ad-hoc generalist HR duties as needed to support the broader HR Team
To be successful in this position, you will need:
- Demonstrated experience as an HR Coordinator and/or HR Advisor
- Tertiary qualifications (or studying towards) in Human Resources or Business
- Previous experience working in the mining services industry would be desirable
- Excellent communication and people skills, a positive attitude, and a confident polite manner
- Organisational skills that allow you to be process driven and the ability to prioritise and manage your own workload
- A positive attitude, motivation and a self-starter mind set, using your initiative to progress tasks efficiently and effectively
- Excellent attention to detail
- A desire to work as a team with a results-driven approach in a fast-paced environment
- High proficiency across the Microsoft Office suite
- Developed knowledge of employment legislation including exposure to the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards, and Modern Awards
- High level of personal integrity, ethical standards and interpersonal skills
