Our well-established Orthopaedic Practice led by surgeon, Dr Parminder J Singh, is seeking an experienced, organised and friendly part-time Medical Receptionist/Secretary to join our friendly team based in Melbourne CBD.

About the role
You will be responsible for the day to day organisational and reception needs of the practice based in the city. As the face of our company, you must have an approachable personality with excellent communication skills and enjoy meeting people and building relationships with our patients. The successful candidate will be able to work independently, as well as part of a busy team with a high level of attention to detail and strong multi-task skills.
• Permanent part-time role, minimum 3 days in a week with possibility of additional days depending on availability
• Greeting patients and confirming details;
• Manage Patient booking, answering all phone/email enquiries, including WorkCover Agencies, TAC clients, Lawyers, and other Healthcare Professionals.
• Answering patient enquires, emails, and faxing and scanning results
• You will have a proactive "can do" attitude with attention to details and deadlines
• You will have a compassionate understanding of Patient care, and be an excellent communicator with an ability to resolve and reassure our Patients in their journey to better health
• Financial Consent, including processing payments using EFTPOS & HICAPS
• Be highly computer literate in all software programs mainly Gentu and Microsoft Office

Skills and experience
• Must have previous experience working at a General or Specialist Medical Centre
• Must have experience with Gentu medical software
• Excellent computer literacy including Eclipse Billing, Xero, Microsoft Office, and must be comfortable using both Mac and PC computers
• Reliable, punctual with a flexible approach to working hours.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task and prioritise workflow.
• A calm and confident manner with excellent communication skills.
• A high degree of empathy and the willingness to go the extra mile for our patients
Must have full work rights, be a Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen.
