Primary Purpose:
| To build a strong Business Development team in China. To lead the BD team and application team to identify and develop market segments with sustainable growth potential. To deeply understand customer segments’ value chain and Job-To-Be-Done. To develop solutions for key segments independently or by cooperation with all stakeholders. To analyse and monitor business performance for key segments and full NA product portfolio. |
Key Responsibilities
To build a strong Business Development team in China with One OI value and sensitive business sense to support NA business growth.
To lead the BD team and application team to identify and develop market segments with sustainable growth potential.
To build metrics for segment identification and segment development for business success evaluation.
To deeply understand customer segments’ value chain and Job-To-Be-Done. And workflow needed to be built with sales team, business support team, and marketing team to bring them as one team for segment development.
To develop solutions for key segments independently or by cooperation with all stakeholders.
To analyse and monitor business performance for key segments and full NA product portfolio.
To communicate with stakeholders in China and headquarters to make alignment with our strategy and share information with each other.
To analyse and monitor business performance by CRM/SAP for key segments and full NA product portfolio, including hardware and software solutions.
To make clear strategies for key segments and NA product portfolio and monitor the implementation of strategies and performance.
To identify and engage with key customer accounts, both current and potential to define current and future customer needs.
To coach the team to improve the segment development and product portfolio management.
To work with MAG key stakeholders with one OI value to support MAG business growth.
To organize and present OI seminars, user-groups and workshops when required. To attend third-party seminars, user-groups and workshops when required.
Applications Support:
To lead NA China application team to manage their daily work.
To provide strategic technical input into the appraisal process of business opportunities.
To provide technical input into the development of applications.
To deliver applications support at time of customer need to ensure successful customer outcomes.
Sales Support:
Co-operate and communicate with the company’s Sales department, agents and representatives.
Create and follow up new enquires promptly and efficiently.
Be familiar with the Sales process and be prepared to assist with the promotion of OI products by participating in pre-sales demonstrations, seminars etc.
General:
Maintain and develop knowledge of assigned products and their common applications, undertaking appropriate training where necessary.
Promote a positive image of Oxford Instruments in all communications with customers, OEMs, distributors and agents, whether in person, by telephone or in writing.
Perform work safely at all times, maintaining an up to date knowledge of health & safety requirements and operating in accordance with health and safety at work legislation.
Participate in training and development activities as required.
