They are seeking a highly motivated and results driven individual to join their Melbourne team as a National Business Development Manager, specialising in short term tactical and long-term strategic sales execution through leveraging strong network contacts.
About the role
Reporting to the highly supportive and engaging Global CEO based here in Melbourne, you will be responsible for the execution of sales and new business strategy to achieve accelerated revenue and profit growth for the organisation in Australia, this business has some serious sourcing capability with deep global connections.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Design and implement strategic plans to reach sales, profit targets, and expand the customer base in consultation with the executive team.
- Identify, progress and close strategic sourcing opportunities in new and existing networks.
- Establish and maintain new client sales volume, product mix and selling price by being aware of supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors in consultation with the executive team.
- Create and maintain comprehensive sales documentation and files including prospect and client meeting notes in CRM.
- Work collaboratively within the group globally to ensure that responsible categories are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
- Assist new clients in the development of project scope and objectives involving all relevant stakeholders.
- Create strong relationships with new client stakeholders based on accessibility, transparency, and innovation.
- Respond promptly to client enquiries for category expansion to find a solution when needed.
- Monitor and report on Business Development and new category expansion progress internally and to external stakeholders as required.
- Measure category performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
- Continually monitor competition's products and keep up to date with industry trends and articles.
- Proven track record of success in short-term sales execution, with demonstrable achievements in meeting and exceeding sales targets
- Extensive network of contacts within target industries with the ability to leverage these contacts to drive business growth.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish credibility with clients and stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies.
- Highly motivated self-starter with a results-oriented mindset and sense of urgency
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen
- Excellent negotiation and presentation skills
- Multi Industry exposure is highly desirable.
