We have continued to invest significantly across our people, process and systems. As part of our people transformation, we are looking for a Global ForwardingNational Business Developer to play a senior role within our commercial team.
About the role
We’re looking for an experienced successful Global Forwarding Business Developer who wants to step up and take on a National Business Development role based in Sydney.
You’ll be the frontline of the company and the voice of customer. You’ll have autonomy to create and apply your own effective sales strategy in your preferred market verticals. You’ll have the ability to leverage from all three networks Global Forwarding, Warehousing and Transport to design the ultimate supply chain solution for your customers.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Identify key growth market channels and design sales strategies to grow top line revenue
- Work with internal Bluestar teams to leverage current key clients for opportunities within Oceania via sea and air
- Responsible for pipeline growth and management in line with targets both individually and contributing to the wider team.
- Provides local industry information, analysis and make recommendations to internal and external customers including C level leaders
- Maintain market awareness regarding market developments, supply/demand impacts, pricing & competition
- Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
- Promote the company’s services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives
- Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines
- Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices etc.
Skills and experience
The ideal candidate has:
- Proven sales track record with the Global Forwarding industry 3 year +
- Existing relationships and industry contacts
- Key stakeholder engagement skills across multiple levels of customer organisations
- Problem solving and a Continuous Improvement mindset
- Excellent influencing and negotiating skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (particularly excel) and CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)
- Communication and negotiation skills
