Reporting to the Sales Director, the National Sales Manager - Retail will oversee ASKO’s retail sales department with the remit to ensure consistent, profitable growth in revenue. Responsible for identifying objectives, strategies and setting budgets to deliver the long-term success of the business as well as manage a National Sales team.
This role will work collaboratively with the Sales Director to develop strategies to improve ASKO market share across all products.
Reporting on activity and results will also be a key aspect of the role. Being a national role and managing a sales team across AU, you will be required to travel on a regular basis.
Key roles and responsibilities:
- Regular reporting to ASKO Australia senior management on performance of the retail channel and developing plans to deliver the retail sales budget
- Managing a national team of Business Development Managers to work with retailers/agents to grow ASKO sales and develop ASKO sales team to become more effective in achieving required sales budgets.
- Key National Account Management, working with ASKO’s major accounts to develop sales growth plans, overcome challenges and ultimately deliver growth objectives.
- Working closely with Sales director and marketing team to implement and execute promotional calendar and activity in retail channel
- Participating in product meetings with global product team to agree ranging, strategy and go-to-market planning with new/existing products in AU market.
Preferred Position Requirements:
- Experience in a related sales or account management role (preferably min. 5 years)
- High presentation, negotiation skills at all levels of business
- High standard of personal presentation.
- Demonstrated & proven success in meeting or exceeding company sales budgets.
- Excellent time management and call cycle planning skills
- Experience or proficiency in managing people or teams
- Experience within the consumer market is desirable.
- The ability to travel regionally/interstate involving nights away from your normal base.
