About the Role
Due to continuous growth, we are seeking a Payroll Administrator/Assistant to join the Human Resource & Payroll Team at Emerald Carrying Company (ECC). This position will be based at our Lytton site, 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday). This position would suit an applicant that has transferable skills and is seeking to further a carer within the Human Resources Industry.
Reporting to our Group Human Resources Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for (but not limited to):
- Assist the HR team with the provision of payroll related information and ADHOC support as required.
- Providing accurate and timely payroll services including end-to-end volume payroll processing for the group, end of month payroll balancing & reporting, end of year payroll balancing & reporting including Single Touch Payroll reconciliation.
- Complete employment changes and requests such as new hires, terminations, adjustments and classifications changes.
- Respond to management and employees on payroll related queries.
- Maintain and update personnel data in our payroll database, to ensure systems reflect current information.
- Review employment contracts to ensure compliance with legislative requirements (Tax compliance, superannuation etc).
- Updating and maintaining Payroll and HR records including general administration, filing and archiving, ensuring confidentiality and privacy of files at all times.
- Conduct payroll audits to ensure accuracy of data and generating reports as required.

Qualifications & Attributes
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role highly desirable
- Proven ability to interpret legislation and policy and provide advice and guidance to managers.
- Ability to develop relationships and maintain confidentiality within the team at all levels with the company.
- Highly organised with attention to detail and excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to communicate on all levels.
