u&u Recruitment Partners are proud to be recruiting an experienced Payroll Officer to join a collaborative, high-performing finance team on permanent basis.
The Role
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Payroll Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing part function payroll operations using Ascender and ensuring the timely processing of payroll for all employees.
- Fortnightly payroll processing for 400+ permanent and contract employees;
- Onboarding and maintaining employee files;
- Understanding of payroll legislation and award interpretation;
- Termination, redundancy and leave calculations;
- Uploading payroll into the general ledger;
- Payroll reconciliation; and
- Query management.
About You
- Three + years proven experience as a Payroll Officer within a similar sized organisation;
- knowledge of Ascender payroll software highly advantageous but not essential;
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information;
- Good understanding of payroll regulations and laws;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; and
- High level computer proficiency in MS Office Suite.
The Benefits
- Salary circa $85,000 - $95,000 + 12.75% super, depending on experience;
- Eagle Farm location;
- One day per week work from home once trained; and
- Working as part of a small collaborative team environment.
