Fire Protection Association Australia (FPA Australia) is the national peak body for fire safety that provides information, services and education to the fire protection industry and the community.
The Association is a not-for-profit organisation with its national head office based in Melbourne.
About the Role:
The role provides a high-level of administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer, as well as general assistance, office support and board administration. (Part-time 3 days)
This is a great opportunity for a high calibre Assistant with experience providing support to the CEO and Board. It would suit someone who is keen to understand all aspects of a values-based, not-for-profit membership organisation, while working on diverse tasks and engaging with a variety of stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support CEO in the management of Key Stakeholder relations.
- Organising and plan meetings as required
- Providing administrative support to CEO and Board calendars, including booking meetings, and taking notes at meetings (as necessary)
- Assist the Company Secretary with the annual general meeting (AGM) and collate and distribute all details.
- Assist the CEO, Board, and Company Secretary with any other duties as required.
- Manage Full Calendar of all Events, meetings etc for Board, CEO and FPA Australia staff.
- Travel Bookings for all staff, board members and others as required
We're looking for someone proactive, with strong communication and excellent time management skills to fill this role.
About You:
- 3 to 5 years of working in a dynamic and fast paced business as usual environment were highly confidentiality and professionalism.
- Can demonstrate previous high work ethic.
- A track record of working with key stakeholders to ensure timely provision of executive level operations.
- Computer literacy (O365, )
- Meticulous attention to detail and has personal strength for accuracy and thoroughness.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong administration skills and experience with knowledge of administrative systems/procedures
