The Precinct & Product Experience Manager is responsible for creating iconic experiences across the AO site (Grand Slam Oval, Garden Square, Ballpark, Practice Village, RLA Terrace) that continuously elevate the on-site consumer experience to compete on the world stage. This is a paternity contract opportunity until April 2025.
About the role
Reporting into the Head of Precinct, in this role you will:
- Work with the Head of Precincts to identify new concepts and define business cases that elevates the standard of consumer experience across our core precincts – Grand Slam Oval, Garden Square, Ballpark, Practice Village, RLA Terrace and Upper Terrace;
- Collaborate with consumer insights and finance to validate concept appeal and financial metrics with a focus on driving profitability;
- Lead design process in consultation with consumer insights department to understand key consumer insights and develop design brief in partnership with product operations;
- Lead procurement tendering process for agency tendering by working with Procurement and Product Operations on development and management of critical path including but not limited to compiling tender documentation, pitch review and appointment;
- Build relationships with subject matter experts, agencies and leading influencers within the experiential/events space that ensure the AO are working with the most progressive stakeholders;
- Identify external agencies to work with in each precinct space and develop market ready brief for marketplace to respond to as part of official tender process,
- Other duties as requested or required by Management
About you
What you will bring to the role:
- Significant experience within an activation agency and/or major events;
- Proven background and experience in Concept Development & Experience/Event Design and Activations
- Design experience of temporary builds and understanding of spatial design and principals of human centered design
- Expertise in workshop facilitation and design walk-throughs with a variety of stakeholders, communicating vision and briefs rationale clearly and effectively;
- Commercial acumen with an understanding of P&Ls and capacity to commercialize ideas
- Experience in stakeholder engagement & management across all levels within cross-functional teams
- An outstanding portfolio showing storytelling and design/activation outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a group to achieve a common goal
- Proven exposure to Agile, Lean and how design thinking works using these methodologies
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field
- You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check
