About us:
Established in 2001, Guidera O’Connor (GO) is a privately owned and respected design and construct contractor and have a successful track record delivering water and wastewater treatment projects to the Australian Water Industry. Some of our clients include SA Water, Water Corporation, Sydney Water and SEQ Water. This role could be based in Sydney or Adelaide.
GO are seeking a highly organised and dependable individual to support the NSW Team with administration support. In this role you will be responsible for supporting the Senior Contracts Administrator and will assist with; and gain exposure to all facets of Head Contract management, financial forecasting, procurement, writing detailed scopes of work, cost reporting, progress claims, variations, and other administrative work.
More specifically, you will:
• Progress claim assistance with Head Contract, Subcontractor and Supplier monthly claims.
• Assisting Project Manager and Project Engineers with the preparation of subcontractor packages, scopes, lettings, procurement schedules.
• Assist Project team with compiling monthly project reports. Provide accurate information and customer service to the Client, external vendors, subcontractors, and community stakeholders.
• External Variation reviews
• Management and tracking of project expenditure, inclusive of subcontractor claims and supplier invoices.
• Assist Project teams with purchase orders – processing and creation.
• Assisting Project teams with HSEQ KPI register maintenance.
• Assisting with project mobilisation requirements, inductions, and travel requirements etc.
• Attending sites to assist project teams with site documentation
As our ideal candidate you will:
• Have experience in a similar role in the construction industry
• Have advanced skills in Microsoft office, in particular Excel and Word
• Have experience in using financial software preferably CHEOPS
• Be self-motivated with strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Have highly developed literacy and numeracy skills
• Be able to prioritise work from multiple colleagues
