people2people are partnering with a Queensland independent statutory body who are looking for an A05 SharePoint Information Project Officer to join their team for a 3-month temporary assignment.
About the role
Reporting to the Manager of ICT Projects and Services, the purpose of the SharePoint Information Project Officer is to provide support and advice to the broader team on the roll out of SharePoint as a document management system. Your responsibilities will include
- Working with the leadership team to refine the structure the SharePoint sites to meet emerging business needs.
- Assisting staff across the organisation in embracing MS SharePoint as the new corporate information management platform.
- Identifying and addressing user needs, ensuring a successful outcome for this phase of the MS SharePoint implementation.
- Collaborating actively with staff to create sound information governance practices for their document repositories.
- Assisting in setting up the configuration and administration of the MS SharePoint sites, libraries and AvePoint Opus.
- Applying Business Classification Scheme (BCS) terms to the appropriate libraries and folders in SharePoint.
- Assisting in the implementation of Information Management policies across the organisation.
- Supporting post content migration activities including identifying duplicate documents, reassigning and consolidating locations.
