The role:
Based at our client's corporate office in O’Connor three days per week, you will be an integral member of the team, providing skilled and efficient delivery of bookkeeping tasks for the client.
You will receive regular instruction from the client by phone, email and face-to-face contact whilst also being required to complete various routine tasks autonomously on a weekly basis.
With the option to work a four-day week, additional workdays will be based at our office near Cockburn Central with the ability to work from home once trained one day per week, working from home arrangements will be discussed during the interview.
Accountabilities:
To provide comprehensive bookkeeping services and deliver outstanding client service including, but not limited to:
- Bookkeeping/transaction processing, data entry into client software
- Liaising with client
- Fortnightly payroll
- Debt collecting
- Manage payments for all supplier invoices, including bank uploads
- Manage debtor & creditor invoice-related queries from clients
- Reconcile bank/loan/credit card/hire purchase payments
- Monthly account reconciliations
- Intercompany accounts
- BAS and IAS
- Payroll Tax
- Year End Finalizations for Payroll (STP Finalization)
- Administration duties such as email management, filing
About you:
To be successful in this role you will have the following attributes:
- Minimum completion of Cert IV Bookkeeping or equivalent.
- At least 2 years relevant experience in a professional services environment (preferably in multi-client bookkeeping role) at a similar level.
- Strong working knowledge of MYOB & Xero
- Reckon knowledge advantageous, willing to train successful candidate
- Excel, Microsoft Office Applications
- Exceptional time management and organisational skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Systematic and organised approach to work with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines and communicate with manager in advance of deadlines.
- Respond positively and quickly to client and team member requests.
- Demonstrate excellent listening skills and express opinions clearly and logically with excellent verbal and written communication.
- Commitment to confidentiality and quality client service.
- BAS Agent registration advantageous
- Ability to work additional hours to provide relief cover for your colleagues or during peak Bookkeeping periods.
