The Opportunity
- Develop and implement strategies to identify and target potential customers in the agricultural industry, specifically farms and feedlot suppliers
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while actively seeking opportunities for growth
- Conduct market research to understand industry trends, competitors, and customer needs
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored solutions and offerings for clients
- Meet and exceed sales targets by effectively managing the sales process from lead generation to closing deals
- Prepare and present sales proposals, contracts, and pricing to clients
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences
- Provide regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities
- Proven experience as a Business Development Manager in the agricultural industry
- Demonstrated success in sales and Business Development, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and industry stakeholders
- Self-motivated and results-oriented with a proactive approach to sales
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events
