Job description

Company Description
Are you ready to be a big part of something big?
CAR Group has been driving innovation and growth since the 1990s. Collectively, our world leading marketplaces bring together deep expertise powered by the best people, data, and technology across Oceania, Asia and The Americas.
We deliver world leading technology and advertising solutions designed to make buying and selling a great experience and are the parent company of wholly owned digital marketplaces in Australia (carsales), South Korea (Encar), the United States (Trader Interactive) and Chile (chileautos), in addition to being a majority shareholder of webmotors in Brazil.
With a vision to create #1 digital marketplaces for vehicles around the world, we transform how people buy and sell across the globe.
When it comes to your career, we want to provide big opportunities to help you make a big impact. But for this to be possible, we strive to feel small. Small enough to quickly change tact, small enough to learn from different departments and small enough to connect authentically with leadership.
And one of the best parts? We give you the autonomy to choose the working location that best suits your lifestyle – Office, Hybrid or Anywhere.
What’s on offer
The opportunity to work in a global role and make real, significant impact across all our international marketplaces.
A place where you can move your career forward and where you’ll be continuously backed to make new ideas happen.
The support of a highly engaged, high-performing team.
A wide range of benefits such as 22 weeks paid parental leave for primary caregivers, four weeks paid secondary caregivers leave, and six weeks paid gender affirming care leave.
We’re proud to be recognised as one of Australia’s Best Workplaces by Great Place to Work, an AFR BOSS Best Place to Work, a Family Friendly Workplace, and WGEA Employer of Choice for Gender Equality.
Job Description
What you’ll do
This is your opportunity to be a big part of something big by supporting our global CEO so that every day runs as smoothly as possible. Your day-to-day will be varied but some of what it will entail includes:
Ensuring our CEO stays organised and on top of everything that he needs to in our fast-paced business – managing his diary; responding to emails and calls; travel and accommodation management; prioritising tasks; processing expense claims and credit card reconciliation; scheduling Board meetings and other meetings, events and functions; coordinating monthly Board packs; organising catering requirements, etc.
Providing support to the wider Executive Leadership Team on an ad-hoc basis. This may include, but isn’t limited to, stepping in to create meeting agendas or take minutes, booking travel, document preparation, manage expenses and anything else that may come up from time to time.
Handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
Taking pride in keeping our CEO well informed and up to date of changing priorities and any key issues that may arise. You’ll also collate any information needed to assist the CEO in making choices in relation to these
Qualifications
What are we looking for?
Extensive experience in providing administrative support to senior or executive managers and managing the conflicting workload of a busy executive.
You take pride in your ability to work within a regularly changing and fast-paced environment. You’ll have a high attention to detail and the ability and skill to prioritise, organising both yourself and those around you.
You have a can-do, proactive work ethic and results focused mindset – you’re comfortable to ask questions and get involved with any task required to get the job done.
An articulate communicator (both on paper and in person) who can build sustainable relationships with internal and external stakeholders and understands the discretion that a role like this requires.
Additional Information
A few other things we want to let you know about...
CAR Group is an equal opportunity employer, and we pride ourselves on fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace. We encourage everyone of all ages, genders and backgrounds to apply. If you’re a candidate with a disability or you need some adjustments to be at your best, let us know how we can provide you with additional support.
We know how important keeping that balance between work/life is and have a range of flexible working options on offer, including part time work. We are open to this conversation during our recruitment process - if you want to know more just ask.
We are a proud Circle Back Initiative Employer which means we are committed to responding to every job applicant.
Successful candidates joining the CAR Group are required to undergo a National Police Record check and must have full-time Australian working rights on an ongoing basis.
So come and join our team - because every role is a big role in our plans to go big.
