Financial Controller

The role:
There is an extremely exciting opportunity for a passionate and driven Financial Controller to join the Finance team in Sydney. Reporting to the CFO, the Financial Controller will be responsible leading all financial activities including budgeting, forecasting, reporting and governance for the business. 

Responsibilities:

• Manage a small team 
• Oversee calculations and journals of P&L impacts derived from balance sheet accounts reconciliation and other analysis
• Preparation and execution of Financial Statements
• Effectively manage the working capital components of the Group with specific attention to stock, debtors and cash balances
• Provide insights into the month result in collaboration with the CFO
• Be an integral part of the annual budgeting, re-forecasting, strategic planning, and variance analysis processes
• Ensure statutory compliance, ASIC filings, banking covenants are reported in a timely and accurate manner to all relevant stakeholders

Skills and Experience:

• CA/CPA Qualified
• Experience in Financial Controller role or Finance Manager ready to step up
• Experience managing a team
• Previous experience in fast-paced environment in either FMCG, Retail or a Franchise Network
• Natural go-getter with a passion for problem solving 
• Ability to embrace technology and focus for continuous improvement
