About the role
We are currently seeking a part time Legal Secretary/Paralegal to join our Asset & Corporate Finance team based in our Brisbane office.
This part time role (4 days per week) presents an exciting opportunity to be part of a busy practice and assist the team in all areas of secretarial support, along with some paralegal tasks. Duties will include managing crucial team administration, handling client queries and managing the monthly billing process.
What does the role involve?
- Preparing various documentation and correspondence
- Administrative support to the partner and fee earners in the practice group
- Attending release settlements and undertaking paralegal tasks
- Managing confidential firm information and opening new matters
- Inputting and maintaining client data into client relationship software
- Assisting with client queries
- Managing the monthly billing process
About you
To be successful in this role you will ideally have previous experience working in a medium to large sized law firm and be highly organised. You should be practical, resilient and proactive in your approach in addition to demonstrating strong problem solving skills, attention to detail and work well in a team.

Strong Microsoft Office skills are essential in this role, as are excellent communication skills. You will be capable of using automated billing systems and client relationship management software (Elite and InterAction preferred). You will have previous experience using PEXA or a willingness to learn.
