Payroll Officer

Due to our recent merger and current expansion, an exciting opportunity has become available in our Sunshine Coasts office for an experienced Payroll Officer. 

This position involves collaborating closely with our HR Team and reporting directly to the Payroll Leader to deliver efficient and timely service to the payroll function of our business.

The Role: 

Support the Payroll Leader to: 

• accurately prepare and execute end to end payroll processing for ~500+ employees across 7 payroll entities (6 pay cycles), including data collection and award interpretation (where applicable)
• calculate and prepare manual payments, including terminations, adjustments and redundancy pay
• Assist Payroll Leader with preparation of end of month processes including superannuation, PAYG, payroll tax and monthly reporting
• maintain company database to ensure payroll and accounts data integrity
• administer employee records, entitlements, and update/changes to employment contracts within the system
• liaise with team leaders for timely approval of payroll related activities
• provide exceptional customer service as the point of contact for payroll enquiries.
• documentation, filing and adhoc tasks as required

• Hands on end to end payroll processing experience (MYOB PayGlobal would be an advantage but not essential) 
• 5 years+ experience in payroll and/or payroll administration. 
• Ability to interpret awards, NES, and other relevant employment conditions
• Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• Experience in the preparation of ad-hoc payroll reports.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel. 
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail and efficient productive work ethic
