About the role

Team Global Express is currently seeking a lively, friendly, and driven individual eager to join our Administration Team on a Permanent Basis at our Altona Depot. This role is responsible for the data entry of consignment notes, manifesting and dispatching duties for our linehaul operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support amongst the team and ensuring operation of the office during afternoon.

  • The working hours are Monday-Friday, 2 Pm – 10 Pm (Full Time).

What you’ll do

  • Process consignment note data entry -Verify and cross check the accuracy of consignment information, including sender and receiver details, shipment contents, special instructions, dangerous goods, and pallets containing chep /loscam information.
  • Create, update and dispatch linehaul manifests.
  • Split consignments upon request and via reports.
  • Consolidate and send data reports nightly to our linehaul country carriers.
  • Assist in resolving any issues or discrepancies related to manifests, dispatches, or consignment notes.
  • Assisting in actioning and completing emails in shared inbox.
  • Scanning, indexing and storage of finance copies and PODs.
  • Assist other team members and management staff with various duties as required.
  • Prioritise your work effectively and efficiently throughout the shift and completion of necessary records, reports and paperwork tasks in a timely manner.

What you’ll bring

  • Previous administration experience.
  • Attention to detail and accurate data entry skills with a focus on handling consignment notes involving dangerous goods and palletized shipment.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Computer proficiency - specifically in MS Office.
  • Experience within the transport or logistics space is highly advantageous.
