About The Role:
As the Senior Sous Chef at The Governor Hotel, you are responsible for but not limited to:
- Support the Head Chef in all aspects of the kitchen operation, including day to day shift management and services.
- Support a high performing team and ensure high standard of consistency and quality is executed.
- Ensure a safe working environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents.
- Assist with developing and maintaining the highest food safety standards.
- Support the induction, onboarding, and training plans for kitchen team.
About You:
As a driven, passionate and focused individual you will possess the following attributes and skills:
- Proven excellence working as a Senior Sous or Sous Chef in a fast-paced, multifaceted venue.
- Consistently committed to the best standards of food preparation and service.
- High standards of food preparation and productivity.
- Capable of building and managing relationships with multiple departments, stakeholders as well as key customers.
- Confident in 'managing up' and influencing teams.
- Excellent communication; written and verbal.
