About the Role
This position is responsible for developing and driving sales of food ingredients across the territory. The focus of the role is to build and grow the customer base and maintain relationships with prospective and existing customers to increase sales, to work proactively and closely with customers and the team to enable exceptional levels of customer support.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Generate leads and identify potential clients within target industries through cold calling, networking, attending industry events, and leveraging online platforms. Utilize market research to identify key decision-makers and influencers within prospective client organizations.
- Conduct thorough needs assessments and consult with clients to understand their specific requirements, challenges, and objectives. Tailor product presentations and demonstrations to showcase how our capital equipment solutions can address their needs and deliver value.
- Seek opportunities with existing and new customers by ensuring regular customer contact and follow up.
- Deliver compelling sales presentations and demonstrations that highlight the features, benefits, and unique selling points of our capital equipment offerings. Effectively communicate the return on investment (ROI) and long-term value proposition to prospective clients.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments related to capital equipment sales. Continuously monitor customer feedback and market insights to identify emerging opportunities and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
Qualification, Experience and Skills Required:
- 6+ years previous experience in sales, in food ingredients.
- Familiarity with flavors, spices, herb extracts, colors, and food ingredients.
- Track record of achieving KPIs and targets.
- Proven success in building value driven relationships resulting in growth.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence and negotiate and build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
