Our client has a dedicated focus on specific areas, such as all areas of IT, Accounts & Administration, Customer Support, Accounting, Full Architectural - Engineers, Designers, Drafters, Business Processing and Logistics. HVAC - 3D Designer, Drafting, Quantity Surveyors, CAD Operators, Estimating & Cad Design to just name a few. 

The Opportunity

As our client embarks on their next stage of growth and an internal promotion, they are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic well-seasoned APAC Outsourcing BDM who is passionate about their field of work and technically astute. As the Business Development Manager, you’ll focus on selling and nurturing long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships that give our clients exactly what they need. 

For this high-level executive position, we are looking for a very strategic, tactic, hungry individual who wants to be part of a forward-thinking organisation whose culture is based on Innovation, Integrity and Empowerment. 

Australia's HQ is based out of Melbourne; however you can be located in either NSW, QLD or SA as this executive position requires extensive Travel and plays a vital role in leading, managing and delivering the companies services to support success and growth. 

This amazing position is integral to the overall success of the company and will see you:

  • Directly responsible for driving and achieving the sales growth and
    profitability in Australia and New Zealand. 
  • Support proactive sector and client strategy development
  • Target sectors, support the development of go-to-market strategies by geography and client, including screening of potential partners and technologies and building client relationship plans
  • Engage with potential clients and technology companies to understand their development plans and identify potential areas for support and project opportunities
  • Attend conferences, webinars and events to improve market and opportunity
  • Proactively engage with clients to understand and develop opportunities
  • Ongoing customer relationship management
  • Lead or support meetings with clients and over time lead engagements with appropriate level clients as part of client engagement strategies
  • Regular training & development with industry professionals

  • You have exceptional problem-solving skills and a demonstrated ability to come up with creative solutions to new problems.
  • Great sense of humour a MUST!!! 

This is the key to creating the organisational agility, adaptability and competitive advantage to ensure long-term success in competitive and changing markets. 

Education

  • University degree qualification. Additional qualifications preferred, such as MBA but not essential
  • Prior exposure to client engagement, proposals, BD or market analysis
  • Project management qualifications (IT, Construction, engineering or otherwise) will be highly regarded
  • Understanding of markets, competitive dynamics and customer dynamics will be beneficial.
  • Strong organisational skills, planning and time management. Ability to deliver against tight deadlines and work with a potentially diverse and dispersed team to deliver outputs to the necessary quality standards and schedule
  • Attention to detail is critical to succeed in this role.
  • Commercially inquisitive and tenacious in getting to answers – able to turn sometimes unstructured input into a business case.
  • Tenacious in obtaining updates on projects and opportunities.
  • Ability to plan and demonstrate progress with little supervision and against potential challenges. Proven ability to work under pressure.
