About the roleThe Role Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, an exciting development opportunity is now available for a Co-ordinator to join our Melbourne Water team. Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring an Annual Works Plan is in place each financial year, and agreed to by the client prior to commencement
- Guide planners and schedulers to improved planning and scheduling outcomes
- Working with asset operators to understand resource and operational constraints
- Develop a campaign maintenance strategy for all operational sites
- Ensure the 30/60/90 plan is in place for review and sign off by the planning and scheduling manager each quarter
- Ensuring planners in the team remain focussed on future maintenance work within the plan
- Ensuring all work in the plan is appropriately scoped and job plans have the required parts and material, safety, quality and environmental requirements, instructions, clearances / permits and any other arrangements thereby facilitating quality work
- Ensuring work plans avoid anticipate delays, improve on previous plans of a similar nature, and provide for accurate scheduling
- Ensure the planning and scheduling roster is in place and resourced appropriately to meet demands over a 24/7 period
- Working with other contract teams to facilitate statistical analysis on actual vs planned work times for jobs and balancing resource availability
- Utilise feedback from technicians across the network to improve accuracy of work plans across the planning team
- Coordinate fortnightly meetings between the client and internal maintenance teams to identify opportunities of improvement
Skills and Experience
- Experience on water networks and how assets interact with each other
- Trade or engineering background
- APICS certification courses viewed favourably
- Ability to provide guidance and assistance to planners and schedulers
- Minimum 5 years’ experience managing annual plans within maintenance
- Experience working in a fast paced and reactive work environment
- Knowledge of computer-based information systems and software applications such as Maximo, P6, MS Office or similar
- Self-motivated, team member with ability to interact with all levels of management
